The KPI spec you attached is unusually precise — every report named, every filter defined, every target metric anchored to a $3.24M revenue goal. That level of specificity is the right foundation. It also makes the execution-order risk visible in a way a looser brief wouldn’t.
Lead scoring rules and lifecycle stage properties have to be configured and validated before contacts start flowing through the pipeline. In HubSpot, lifecycle stage stamping is point-in-time by default: when a contact converts to MQL, the stage is written at that moment. If the scoring model isn’t live first, contacts that passed through before the rules were active won’t carry the right stage data — and no dashboard rebuild retroactively corrects that. The Sales Dashboard’s pipeline coverage ratio and the Marketing Dashboard’s MQL conversion metrics will be structurally incomplete from day one if the underlying configuration isn’t sequenced correctly.
That’s not a design problem. It’s a build-order problem — and it’s the kind of thing that only shows up after the dashboards look finished.
What the spec doesn’t surface
The real question isn’t whether the dashboards can be built to spec — they can. The question is whether the HubSpot instance already has the custom property schema, lifecycle workflow logic, and lead scoring rules that every report in the spec depends on as its data source. Without that confirmation, the 4-day build sequence in the spec will hit a dependency wall the moment deal velocity or weighted forecast reports try to pull from properties that don’t yet exist.
The integrations the spec references — Calendly, LinkedIn Ads, Sales Navigator, Seamless AI — also need to be verified as connected and mapping correctly before any pipeline or attribution report returns reliable numbers. Some of these native connectors have documented limitations: LinkedIn Sales Navigator‘s native integration, for instance, is view-only and doesn’t automatically sync contact or deal data into HubSpot properties. Depending on what the attribution reports need to pull, a custom property mapping layer or third-party connector may be necessary before those reports reflect real pipeline state.
How I’d actually handle this
The first step before touching a single dashboard is a configuration audit: map every custom property, lifecycle stage definition, and active workflow against the report requirements in the spec — identify what exists, what needs to be built, and what needs to be corrected. This takes a few hours and eliminates the dependency surprises that derail the build mid-week.
Lead scoring rules and lifecycle stage enrollment criteria get built and tested against a filtered contact view before any contact volume runs through them. This is the gate that protects MQL data integrity going forward.
From there, the build follows the spec’s own sequencing logic: properties and scoring first, lifecycle workflows second, integration validation third, then both dashboards last. For the forecast and pipeline coverage reports specifically, it’s worth noting that HubSpot supports two distinct probability mechanisms — deal stage probability set in pipeline configuration, and a separate forecast category field that can override it per deal. Before the Sales Dashboard is assembled, I’d confirm which mechanism is active and whether the deal stage values are set correctly, since the weighted forecast numbers derive from whichever of those is driving the calculation.
